Pros: Rashad Wisdom is an exciting safety prospect who plays with an old-school mentality. He’s a compact player who possesses a ton of explosiveness and power in his body. Wisdom has shown the versatility to align at multiple spots having spent time at slot corner, single-high, two-high, and in the box. He is best in the box working downhill as a run defender. He is an urgent defender who is quick to read and react with a quick trigger to close and make the play. He has good straight-line speed and short-area quickness. A relentless player in pursuit, Wisdom is always around the football and making plays. He is a big hitter and looks to punish opposing ball carriers. In coverage, he shows very good awareness and instincts in zone and has excellent ball skills. A player whose game inspires his teammates, Wisdom is the type of player you want on your roster.

Cons: Rashad Wisdom is a tight athlete who struggles to play in space and cover large areas of the field. He lacks the range to play single-high at the next level and can get beat deep by receivers who have a second gear. His lack of length limits his ability to be an effective man defender and he will be at a severe disadvantage against tight ends. He lacks the size and length to be a true cover safety but also lacks the ideal foot quickness and fluidity to be a full-time nickel. His relentlessness as a tackler will lead to big hits but often leads to a ton of missed tackles. His recklessness will likely lead to injuries for not just his opponents, but himself.
