Pros: Titus Swen is a downhill, north-south runner. He wants to square his shoulders and press upfield quickly. His power and patience increase the degree of difficulty to bring him down. He has a sneaky dead leg to freeze quick-penetrating defenders. Swen is a member of the #BacksThatBlock club! He scans and identifies free runners, stepping up to protect his QB. Given a runway, Swen’s speed is evident. He has two 60-plus yard runs last season. He patiently follows lead blockers to open creases. His strong lower body provides plus contact balance to work through arm tackles for yards after contact.

Cons: Titus Swen is a “get what is blocked” type of runner. He is not an elusive back and should not be expected to put defenders on skates. In high school, he was an all-purpose back, but there is little receiving production in his college career. He displays a tendency to string runs outside instead of planting and cutting for positive yards. He’s more of a long-strider than a naturally explosive runner. He spent his career as the rotational back of a timeshare and is now projected as the lead back finally. Let’s see if he can showcase the ability to carry a heavier, more consistent workload.
