Prospect Summary

Cordale plays cornerback and predominantly aligns inside. He is a good athlete with regards to quickness and agility in coverage. In the run game, he is an eager tackler when playing inside. He has a lean frame but there’s no hesitancy to tackle in the box. In the passing game, he has played inside, giving him inside/outside flex. He has good speed and can easily open up and run upfield. He has good length and uses his hips to stay in phase with receivers. His eyes can get him into trouble and learning to toggle between man and zone concepts will be beneficial to him. He does, however, have redeeming value in his size, length, competitiveness and speed.

Best Game Studied: UCLA

Worst Game Studied: TAMU

Man Coverage: He is a good athlete with good hips. This allows him to stay in phase in zone coverage. He closes well and is competitive to the football

Zone Coverage: He easily passes off route with underneath coverage responsibilities. He can tackle well from the inside, so he has no issues handling all of the responsibilities in zone.

Ball Skills: He appears to play the ball fairly well in the air. However, because he predominantly plays inside, there seemingly are not many opportunities to showcase this.

Tackling: He shows willingness to tackle when aligned inside. He is a slightly built player who has no issues coming up to tackle.

Versatility:He projects with true inside outside flex. He currently aligns inside, but his size, length and speed tell me that he could easily play outside.

Competitive Toughness: He displays good competitive toughness, particularly with the ball in the air. He also works hard to close when in coverage. He is tough inside and plays extremely hard.

Functional Athleticism: He is a good athlete. He has good quickness and agility. He also shows his dynamic agility in coverage as well.

Football IQ: He has good football IQ. He easily passes off routes in zone situations. He understands situational football with regards to down and distance

Run Defending: He is an eager and willing run defender. This is particularly important to project him inside/outside flex.

Length: He has sufficient length. This will help him along with his speed when playing outside. He has good hips to stay in phase and his length helps close the distance.
