You'd be hard-pressed to recall the last time we made it through 10 weeks of the regular season without a clear frontrunner for the MVP honor revealing themselves. The 2021 campaign has delivered terrific parity and unpredictability in that regard. Quarterback play has largely been impressive across the league, but no signal-caller has truly separated themselves from the pack.

With that said, the NFL futures prop betting landscape for the 2021 MVP is fascinating and competitive. BetOnline recently updated their odds, revealing an intriguing mixture of veterans and today's budding superstars. The top 11 candidates shake out as follows:

Quarterbacks have routinely captured this honor on an annual basis, and 2021 is shaping up to deliver more of the same. Every single candidate on the current list is a quarterback. We've analyzed the current terrain and delivered our thoughts below.

THE FAVORITE: JOSH ALLEN

The current favorite by the slimmest of margins, Bills superstar quarterback Josh Allen is performing at an incredibly high level for the second consecutive season. Considered as the favorites to represent the AFC in Super Bowl LVI by several notable analysts, Buffalo has an excellent chance to accomplish something special in 2021, and Allen's play is at the heart of those sentiments.

Having already accounted for 22 touchdowns (19 passing, three rushing) through just nine contests, Allen is flirting with the possibility of surpassing 40 total touchdowns for the second campaign in a row. Opposing defenses continue to struggle to deal with his dual-threat ability. Allen lost some steam following Buffalo's shocking Week 9 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he remains a strong candidate to capture this honor.

MY PICK: TOM BRADY

A three-time MVP winner and undeniably the greatest quarterback to ever lace them up, Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. should receive every opportunity imaginable to surpass Allen as the favorite in the weeks to come. A seven-time Super Bowl Winner, Brady currently leads all passers with an astounding 27 touchdown passes through just nine contests. Brady also ranks third in yards (2,870) behind just Patrick Mahomes (2,940) and Matthew Stafford (3,014). At 44 years young, Brady is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down.

Brady has perhaps fallen slightly behind due to Tampa Bay's shocking and haunting losses to the New Orleans Saints and Washington Football Team in Weeks 9 and 10, but writing off Brady and his band of pass-catchers would be an incredibly foolish exercise to partake in. Tampa will right the ship and Brady will capture the league's most prestigious individual honor.

DARK HORSE: AARON RODGERS

Currently viewed as the sixth likeliest candidate to win MVP by the BetOnline oddsmakers, we're of the opinion that Rodgers should vault into the top four at the very least, leaping Mahomes and Stafford in the process. The award is quite literally titled the "Most Valuable Player," and Rodgers' value to the Packers franchise was well on display throughout Jordan Love's disappointing Week 9 start and defeat against the Kansas City Chiefs.

A three-time winner of the very honor we are discussing, Rodgers' impressive 2021 form has catapulted the Packers to an 8-2 record and the No. 1 seed in the NFC. The NFC is loaded with potential Super Bowl contenders and the Packers may be standing on the mountaintop come February. If head coach Matt LaFleur and Rodgers can finish the campaign in similar fashion, Rodgers will have an excellent chance to win this award.
