The 2022 Senior Bowl will take place on Saturday, Feb. 5, but as most schooled NFL draft fans know, the real action takes place during the week of practices. The first of those practices is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 1, and kicks off three days of intense sessions intended to impress scouts from all 32 teams.
One of those teams will be the Chicago Bears, who will have a glaring need at wide receiver this offseason. Only Darnell Mooney is under contract beyond this year, and while it’s likely the Bears will sign a veteran or two to fill the depth chart, it’s equally likely Chicago will tap into the 2022 NFL Draft to find help at the position.
This year’s Senior Bowl will offer the Bears a great opportunity to scout a few of those wide receivers who happen to fit the profile of what the team needs to build around Mooney in 2022 and beyond. Here are six of them:
