Patrick Mahomes is the starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs and has been in that role since the beginning of the 2018 season. He’s a former first-round pick out of Texas Tech taken by the Chiefs with the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Patrick Mahomes won the NFL MVP award and was named an All-Pro in 2018 after throwing for 5,097 yards and a league-leading 50 touchdowns. The next year, Mahomes led the Chiefs to a Super Bowl championship. In July of 2020, Mahomes signed a massive 10-year, $503 million contract extension to remain in Kansas City.
