Harris’ Top 3 Sleepers From 2021 NFL Draft

In every NFL draft, there are good players that will fall either due to need, character concerns, or lack of medical information.

This is even more evident in a year where the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the pre-draft cycle with less accessible information.

While it may feel disappointing for the player, there are often opportunities for teams to get good value for any given prospect. Here are three sleeper selections from the 2021 NFL Draft:

Andre Cisco, S, Jacksonville Jaguars

Andre Cisco was widely considered one of the best safeties in this year’s class. He was extremely productive against the pass and has the type of ball skills and overall skill set to be used in a variety of ways. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL during pre-game warmups against Georgia Tech. He was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars at the top of Round 3 and could easily find his way into the starting lineup if he remains healthy.

Simi Fehoko, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Simi Fehoko is a wide receiver with very good size; standing at 6-foot-4, he ran a 4.4-second 40-yard dash at his Pro Day. He has outstanding athleticism for a big receiver and could be a vertical threat in an already explosive offense. His Round 5 selection by the Dallas gives the Cowboys great value here. Fehoko could easily play 10 years in the NFL and should be an immediate contributor as a 4-phase core special teams player.

Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans

Nico Collins is a big-bodied receiver who is also a deep threat. He has very good size and catch radius with the ability to threaten defenses vertically. He will need to improve as a separator versus man coverage, however, he offers good value for the Houston Texans in Round 3. He steps into a receiver-needy situation where he can contribute immediately on offense and special teams.
