Pros: Brant Kuithe is a highly accomplished weapon for Utah that earned All-Conference Honors in three of his first four seasons as a Ute. After setting career highs in 2021 in receptions, yards, and touchdowns, Kuithe is returning for the 2022 campaign to further expand his already impressive resume. A versatile player, Utah aligns Kuithe as an in-line tight end but also frequently as a true slot receiver. Kuithe is a smooth route-runner that is tasked with running a diverse tree to all levels of the field. I especially like how effective he is at routes with multiple breaks and finding space in the intermediate to deep areas of the field. Kuithe is surprisingly excellent with the ball in his hands. He is highly competitive with good balance but also offers the elusiveness and creativity in the open field to make defenders miss and break tackles. Kuithe is a smooth athlete and highly competitive player with good temperament as a blocker.

Cons: Brant Kuithe doesn’t have the mass or functional strength to survive as an in-line player in the NFL and projects best as a move piece that can be utilized as a wing and big slot. He does have some challenges playing through contact when challenged with physicality as a route-runner, further complicating his projection to playing in-line and effectively working into routes. While Kuithe makes his share of impressive catches with good body control, he’s also not immune to drops and he hasn’t been a consistent winner in contested situations. He can bring an appealing element to an NFL offense but there are restrictions with his profile that will present limitations.
