With Trey Lance wrapping up his first full training camp as the unquestioned starter, I am very excited to see how he looks in his preseason debut Friday night.

There are a ton of expectations entering 2022 and if things go their way, the 49ers could be looking at another deep postseason run.
An unproven talent out of North Dakota State, it’ll be trial by error when Trey Lance fully takes over the reins of the 49ers offense.
As hyped as the 2021 NFL Draft quarterback class was, not many of the first-round rookies enjoyed immediate success on the field. In 2022, some of those quarterbacks will almost certainly have more successful seasons, while others might take a step back.
Despite San Francisco’s commitment of three first-round picks and a top-3 overall choice in the 2021 NFL Draft in Trey Lance, still belonged to Jimmy Garoppolo. And that needs to change.
