Week 10 delivered the wackiest results the 2021 campaign has experienced thus far. Although there were larger shockers that occurred, Philadelphia's convincing road win (30-13) over the Denver Broncos was truly eye-opening. Vic Fangio's Broncos were riding high after an incredible Week 9 result over the Super Bowl contending Dallas Cowboys but encountered a well-prepared Eagles team that is receiving some excellent play from their young quarterback.

Jalen Hurts led his Eagles to an incontestable victory over the Broncos by completing 16-of-23 passing attempts with two touchdowns through the air. Hurts added an impressive 53 rushing yards to his total, as a solid Broncos defense struggled to deal with his dual-threat skill set. Hurts' latest presentation wasn't his only encouraging performance in recent showings. The numbers are incredibly inspiring when combining his last four outputs.

Since Week 7, Hurts has completed 62% of his passes while accounting for 926 total yards of offense, five touchdowns, and just two turnovers. When shrinking that sample size to the latest three contests, Hurts' completion percentage actually climbs to 67%. Hurts has elevated his play and is beginning to look like Philadelphia's rightful quarterback of the future. Given how lackluster the 2022 class of quarterbacks currently looks, Philadelphia would be wise to forego the opportunity to select a new signal-caller and continue to invest in Hurts' development.

Philadelphia has reigned victorious in two of their last three contests, and Hurts' improvement has served as the major contributing factor to their stark and fortunate turnaround. Head coach Nick Sirianni has taken notice.

“I just see his arrow completely pointed up,” Sirianni said, via Reuben Frank of NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com. “I think we’ve all seen the way he’s played.”

Hurts appears to be gaining confidence and comfortability with each passing contest. Sirianni and offensive coordinator Shane Steichen have switched their offensive philosophy to a more run-heavy approach in recent weeks, and Hurts looks like a natural fit to be at the center of it all. Philadelphia's recent shift to an effective running back by committee procedure is benefitting Hurts and their offense in all facets. Hurts has especially been able to take advantage of their newfound success on the ground by becoming a more effective play-action passer. This is an exciting young quarterback prospect that is finding his way while navigating through the uncertainties of the NFL.

The Eagles may be 4-6, but they've put the rest of the league on notice with their recent showings. Sunday's forthcoming contest against the New Orleans Saints will have profound implications on the NFC's playoff picture. If Hurts can string together yet another quality performance against a stout Saints defense, he'll be well on his way to cementing his status as Philadelphia's quarterback of the future.
